Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating

I have a deep calling to support women struggling with eating disorders, as well as the families walking this path alongside them. Eating disorders can cast a long shadow, but I’ve seen time and again that when someone is truly ready and willing to heal, the light begins to break through. Recovery is possible. It’s not easy, and it’s often misunderstood, but with compassion and the right support, it can happen. One of the greatest challenges in treating eating disorders is understanding that malnutrition affects the brain, making rational thought nearly impossible. You’re not reasoning with the person you love, you’re confronting the disorder that has taken hold. That’s why my approach focuses on developing a personalized, collaborative plan that nurtures awareness, rebuilds trust, and opens the door to hope.
I am here to walk this journey with you, offering steady support and belief in the possibility of healing. Bottom line, however, in the big picture, it requires willingness and readiness to change your mind about what you personally believe or what you have been told to believe, that is not currently working.

Best Suited for:
For Eating Disorder: In the continuum of eating disorder treatment, my services are in alignment with someone in the beginning stages of exploring eating disorder treatment, or someone stepping down from a higher level of care such as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). I will individualize a program based on clinical findings, readiness to change, and ability to commit to treatment, including other members of the treatment team such as a physician and therapist.
For Disordered Eating: Best suited for someone who has struggled with chronic dieting, food guilt, binge or restrictive swings, or a challenging relationship with food without a formal diagnosis. Perhaps appropriate for someone who has recovered from an eating disorder but sees behaviors creeping in based on an event or life transition. Also appropriate for anyone who has moved through the more acute treatment for an Eating Disorder and is ready for the Discovering Your Foodprint program.

Not the Best Fit if:
For Eating Disorder: Stepping down from Residential Treatment or needing a higher level of care.
For Disordered Eating: Signs of a possible eating disorder that need a medical or clinical assessment; however, I also treat that level of care. CLICK HERE.
